Baguio SEO Talk 2024 - Reminders

We’re just a week away from our awesome event, and we can’t wait to see all your lovely faces! 😎 But before you start packing, here are 10 reminders to ensure your Baguio trip is smooth and stress-free:
  1. Bring an umbrella AND a sweater.
The weather here is as unpredictable as your next crush. So don’t be caught in a cold drizzle, and be ready to cozy up if it gets chilly!

  2. Plastic is so out of fashion!
We’re eco-warriors up here, and Baguio City Ordinance 26 Series of 2018 says NO to plastic and styrofoam. Bring your eco-bags, and reusable bottles, and save the planet, one sip at a time!

  3. Smoking? Not here!
We love fresh mountain air (trust us, you will too)! As per Ordinance 34 Series of 2017, smoking of any form in public is a no-go, with fines starting at ₱2,000. So let’s keep those lungs clean and that cash in your pocket!

  4. Session Road = Walk, don’t ride!
Motorcycles are banned from Session Road under Ordinance 107 Series of 2021, so leave your two-wheeled chariot at home. Violating could cost you up to ₱1,500, and honestly, Session’s better enjoyed on foot anyway—more time to grab that selfie!

  5. Silent nights, but not the carol kind.
Baguio’s got a Silent Night Ordinance after 10 PM, so keep it chill and keep the noise down, or you could face a ₱1,000 fine.

  6. Littering? Nah, that’s for amateurs!
Baguio’s beauty is no joke, and littering comes with fines starting at ₱1,000, courtesy of Ordinance 18 Series of 2016. Keep it clean, fam—bins are your best friend!

  7. Driving in Baguio: The real-life Mario Kart!
Our zigzag roads are legendary—take them slow or risk spinning out (banana peel optional). Drive safe, enjoy the view, and remember, no one wins a trophy for reckless driving!

  8. Please… hold the honking!
Look, we get it—traffic can be frustrating, but excessive honking won’t move mountains (or cars). Let’s keep things zen up here in the clouds.

  9. Jaywalking? Not here, buddy!
We know crossing the street anywhere you please feels like a ninja move, but Ordinance 7 Series of 2003 says otherwise. Stick to those crosswalks or face a ₱500 fine. Trust us, dodging traffic is not the adrenaline rush you’re looking for—save that energy for shopping!

  10. Taxi drivers in Baguio: No haggling, just honest vibes!
Baguio’s taxi drivers are the real MVPs. They’ll take you where you need to go with the meter on—no haggling needed! It’s like finding a unicorn in traffic. Just hop in, enjoy the ride, and if you’re lucky, you might even get a mini-tour guide who knows all the shortcuts (and gossip)!

We’re so excited to welcome you to the highlands! Enjoy the cool breeze, the delicious food, and the beautiful sights. See you soon!
